The Break-up

Jason here. Joy just left for a girls night out, or as she would say, "visiting teaching." She has been looking forward to it forever and really needed it. She goes with a girl from church that came to to the US from Ecuador a few years back and another friend. Allie was devastated when she learned she got to stay home with Luke and Dad. They drove around the corner and she said "I miss her already." We went inside and she was still really upset. I told her to pretend I was her babysitter and that her mommy would be back later. Joy made amazing pork chops and fresh garden veggies for dinner but Allie instead asked for comfort food after she left (Raman noodles). I asked her if I was a good babysitter and she said "you are a perfect babysitter." Amazing what a little Raman will do to get compliments from a 4 year old...

Look at the bags underneath her eyes from the rough breakup.

(Joy has a new post below too)...

A little top ramen can go a long way. Good job babysitter!

PS- I love the color of your walls. It is such a good back drop for pictures. This one and Joys haircut pictures look so pretty in front of that wall.

I hope that Joy had a great time. I missed being there. At least there was nothing really tramatic that happened while Joy was out, like a quick trip to the urgent care.
