Merry Christmas to me!

For Christmas Jason ordered a copy in advance of The Host. It was released on Tuesday and my copy arrived today! I am loving it already! Yes, I know it is not classic literature... but it is so fun to read. By the way, Stephenie Meyer was named as Time's 100 Most Influential people.

i saw an article about this book at the nail salon today. it was described as "sci fi for those who don't like sci fi." you'll have to tell us how it is. what's the fifth sentence on page 123?

Are you loving it? I am finding myself reading it relatively slow. So far I like it.

Lindsay- This is the Twilight lady. Erin- "Her face was a mess of wrinkles, all of them turning down into angry lines." (Good question- made me laugh :)

This sci-fi is about aliens who are basically parasites. They come and take over the human race by taking over their bodies and the human basically dies (or fades away). There are a few humans who have survived and are hiding out. The main character (an alien) takes over a girl's body but the girl refuses to die or go away. Soon they both exist in the one body and both are in love with the man the original girl loved before. So they go in search of him.

Basically a "chic book/sci fi" love story.
