I remember going running on this terrain when Vic and I came to visit. (Oh the good old days of courtship). We were just telling somebody the other day about the drive down to Albequerque (again, while we were dating) and the whole "oops, I farted but I'm asleep so I can't be held responsible" stunt I pulled. THAT is a funny/embarrassing story.
I can't believe you can go for walks like that right now without any snow. I HAVE HAD IT with this winter. We really need to come visit you guys again...
Joy, I just saw your comment on our blog about being sick when the kids aren't and immediately memories flooded back of my mom being super sick and me not "getting it". One time she had a major migraine, lights out, curtains pulled, warm washcloth on her head, and I was in there insisting on pancakes. Okay, how selfish was I??? Isn't it funny how as parents we see a need to apologize after realizing everything we put them through?
Likewise Kristyn...just as we felt we should apologize to our moms that we wished we had been better kids, as Mom's we also want to apologize to our kids as we see THEM becoming parents, for not being as good of parents as we wanted to be! Hopefully we all mend along the way, up and down the family tree! I CAN'T IMAGINE YOU ASKING FOR PANCAKES! What did your Mom say?
