Oh the ups and downs of childhood. The kids have been looking forward for days to our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. It started at 1pm. When we arrived at 1:04pm... it was already over! Not a single egg left. We had some very very disappointed children. That was a bummer.
We went to play at the park to soothe their crushed hearts and then walked home. That helped.
We ran into our next door neighbor on the way home and told him our sad
tale. He said we could hide eggs in his backyard. So we made a quick
scramble to get them ready and then the hunt was on again. That really
helped.
When we got home there was a message on the phone. Luke won the
coloring contest at a local grocery store. And his prize?! A NEW
BIKE! Now that certainly turned the day around!

Wow! So fun! I read your Easter tale to all the kids! They are impressed with Luke's coloring! Love the story
It looks like Rachael knows what to do with those eggs. I wish I was there to help her with the goodies.
Congratulations to Luke. That is really neat to win a bike.
Grandpa
Woohoo Luke! That's a pretty sweet bike. Good job
Looks like a fun eater. And way to go Luke- that is great! I loved the picture of Wesley on the toilet- poor boy, I think that one may go down in history. So glad that you guys shared that.
Awesome Luke! Henry and Ellis want to find a coloring contest to enter.
That will be an Easter to remember.
P.S. I love Rachel's piggie tails.
Joy!!! I miss you! It's been too long. Let's catch up soon. :) Danell
Our Easter Egg hunting had some ups and downs as well. Nice job though on winning a bike!
Way to go Luke! That is awesome. Can I ride it when I come?
