Globo Festival

Our friends, the Mortensens, are out from Arizona to join us for the Balloon Fiesta.
We all got up a little before 4:30 this morning to drive down to the balloon fiesta park. Note to self: put your kids to bed early when you plan on waking them up at 4:30AM or they will be very cranky. Allie took a few hours to warm up.
This clown fish was new this year...

Here is a nice severed Donald Trump head. The driver of this chase vehicle was dressed up like a pirate with a hook, pirate hat and sword. Donald will be missed.
Wesley won the Had-the-Best-Time award this year.

Wesley is adorable...along with Allie and Luke, of course! We think he looks a lot like Reed in the picture where he is sleeping.

Any nuclear threats or Spam this year?

What fun! I think we're going to skip going down the field this year. Last year the kids were asking to go home as soon as we got there. Of course, Isabel was only 1. This year we'll just got the GE Mass Ascension Breakfast and watch it from there. Although, as I was just checking out some You Tube images of the Fiesta, Isabel was getting all excited...so we'll see.

This is a cool time-lapse video of the fiesta:

BTW-The kids are all cute, even the grumpy, tired ones. I love the picture of Wesley giving the event two thumbs up...with one hand, of course!

That looks really neat. Joy, are you carrying both kids in your sling. Wow, that is some amazing talent if you are! I can't believe I have never been to the balloon fiesta. Maybe someday. Great pictures. LOVE the one with Wesley and his two thumbs. He will be glad to have that picture when he grows up.

I plan to come out sometime to the festival...really, I do!
I love the pic of wesley..it's really beautiful. I might have to get it from you. I think there is something beautiful in differences.
I can't help it. I hope you all get the chance to see Rachel's paintings of Becca. They are astounding.

Thanks my friend for letting us terrorize your house for a week!! We had SOOOO-OOOOO much fun and my kids keep asking to go back to Allie's house. MMMHH...What's wrong with ours?? I guess no fun friends to play with and not as many dress up clothes.
