All the Children In These Photos are Asleep

We were putting kids to bed and couldn't figure out where Wesley had gone.  We knew he had already put his pajamas on but where did he go?

 Just finished making bread one day.  They were covered and set to rise and my little helper was DONE.

Now the rest of the story!  We  promised Grandma we would get a family photo done (thank you again for the Christmas money) and we did it!  The photography studio here had a deal going on so I called to schedule the session.  It was an effort to find an open time slot that worked for us.  After it was scheduled we realized we had a conflict so we had to change it.  And then they called and had a different time down.

All that to say on the Saturday of our appointment, we showed up dressed and ready at 8:30am with FIVE children (AND on time I would like to add) but they had us down for a different time.  It was really really disappointing.  We came back home and made everyone change their clothes because there was no way I wanted to risk messing them before we went back again that afternoon.  We laid them out and then no one was allowed in the living room until it was time to get dressed again.

Friday on the Coast

We drove south on the coast to Tillamook to wait out the rain.  Most of the forest seemed to be logged at one point or another.  Driving past and through some of the old growth sections was very cool.  We have now seen a coastal rain forest. 

The Tillamook cheese factory was super cool in terms of process.  We had some incredible ice cream then made our way to Oceanside for dinner.  On the way we drove by a huge hanger that housed coastal patrol blimps in WWII.

Gorgeous.  Truly magnificent.  Why can't the Rio Grande have just a little more water.  Loving the Colombia River.

Wednesday

Waited forever to eat breakfast while Wyatt slept.  So I guess we'll do lunch instead.

Jason in line at one of the food carts.  I have been WAITING for this after watching Food Truck Wars almost a year ago.  A homeless lady recommended this Egyptian spot- even after she turned down a credit card purchase of food around the bend at another stand...  The potstickers are for Allie.  Yumm!

OK, for dessert we ate a chunky monkey at a waffle stand and a delicious mango Greek yogurt drink at an Ethiopian stand... go figure.

Sushi too!

See that extra large sushi at the Hawaiian stand?  That is spam sushi and was actually pretty good!
