Science Fair 2012

The Scientists with their boards:
The kids goofing off in the gym while we helped cleaned up after Science Fair:

 Their boards close up:

The kids had a great time getting to do experiments with Dad and learning a little bit more about the Scientific Process.  We had to laugh at one of the judges' reviews of Luke's project.  It was obviously a teenage boy from the high school who didn't quite get it.  He made comments like "Student answered only yes/no to questions asked, did not have a strong understanding of project, data incomplete, appears that father did most of the project..." etc.  We just laughed and laughed when we read it. Um... Luke is 5, in Kindergarten, and basically illiterate.  And no, we don't let him play with fire.

I love Luke's drawings--and Allie's too!
Luke, you can come to Aunt Lindsay's house anytime and we'll make hot chocolate together. You can show me the fastest method.

This is such a cute post, the kids are so darling. Allie is gorgeous- you'd better start posting Dad at the door! The Science Fair projects were great, I loved the way it looked like they did it theirselves.
The high school boy was clueless. Jason was a much better judge than that in Jr High. I hope this doesn't make them not want to do it again.
Signed, a protective Grandma!

Like Grandma Payne, I loved the post. Luke looks like little Jason wowing the judges. Allie is so cute how could a judge vote against her? Wesley will climb Mt. Everest to do his project.

Did they both have to do projects? I don't think I ever did in school and our kids don't have to currently, for some reason I don't get excited about the idea at the moment. You guys did a great job though.
